The Isle of Tiree is famous for windsurfing and corncakes, one of Britain's rarest birds, but there is also the unique Vaul Golf looking out over the Atlantic Ocean. The course is situated two miles from Scarnish and half a mile from the Lodge Hotel, a real golfer's hotel. As with most Scottish island courses the setting is remote, but that is certainly part of its appeal. Interestingly, there are no trees and no water hazards, just your own ability to contend with.
