Sidcup Golf Club is situated on the north side of the town and is an easy walking 18-hole parkland course, with many natural hazards to overcome throughout. You must tackle water - it comes into play on some holes - and you must avoid numerous bunkers. All in all, an excellent test of golf whatever your level. The club is currently in discussions with a new operator of Bexley Council which hopes to build a new sports centre and swimming pool on the site of the Sidcup golf course, who, in turn, will build a new clubhouse in the grounds of Hurstmere school. The club, which is owned by the council, will, as things stand, move to the new site so that the clubhouse will be nearer to the course.
