If you take a drive west from Watford town centre, you will come across West Herts Golf Club, which is home to a long, undulating course, that, in spite of its close proximity to the busy town, is a very peaceful and quiet place to enjoy a round of golf. It is laid out on a plateau and therefore benefits from being quite dry throughout the year, and that, coupled with the excellent maintenance work performed by the greenkeeping staff, makes play possible virtually all year long. At 6400 yards in length from the first tee to the eighteenth pin, the par of 72 gives a good indication of the tests that lie in wait for you here.
