Strathclyde Park golf course is one of the most popular municipal courses in the Glasgow area and is unique in that it is surrounded on one side by a racecourse and a nature reserve on the other. Incidentally, the course closes when a race it on. The course is full of character and is well noted among Glasgow golfers for its small greens, which can be tricky to stay on. The fourth is perhaps the signature hole, where a drive downhill must avoid out-of-bounds to the right. The hole then doglegs right around a small copse.
