Welton Manor Golf Club is set in 50 acres, built by entreprenurial local farmer, Charles Ottewell, 1923-2000, the founder of Welton Manor Golf Centre. He and his sons, Andrew and David, battled through the jungle of planning permissions and local objections to form this magnificent enterprise-surely Welton's jewel in the crown and prize asset. The fairways are wide and flat, bordered by extensive plantings of young trees, a huge investment in the future, making this course both beautiful and challenging for rookie and expert alike. The sun-soaked west-facing patio is the place to enjoy your well-earned pint, argue over the results, with a total pub restaurant to tempt you to stay.
