Boughton golf club is set across 160 acres of Kentish farmland and benefits from some marvellous views of the surrounding countryside. Opened in 1993, it comprises four par 3s, ten par 4s and four par 5s, and there is much here to challenge golfers of all abilities, whether a high or low handicapper. The greens and fairways are generously sized and the modern irrigation system allows playability virtually all year round. The clubhouse maintains Kentish tradition, designed in the typical county barn style. It serves excellent food and has a large, varied menu. Extra facilities here include a driving range, and short-game improvers might take the time to make use of the chipping area, practice bunker and putting green.
