The Reverend Tyack must have thought all his prayers had been answered when he clapped eyes on the ground he would later turn into West Cornwall Golf Club's fabulous course. It was away back in the late 1880s when he decided to lay down plans to reshape the land around the Lelant area of St. Ives and consequently it opened in 1889 as a fine course that would be enjoyed by players for years to come. The fact it is still open and still hugely popular amongst club golfers in the Cornwall region is testament to the work he did. A true links course in every sense, it has plenty of testing holes that will have you calling on every shot in your bag
