The course was originally nine holes, but was extended to 18 a few years ago. It is a parkland course situated at the foot of Hardens Hill to the west of Duns, with views of the surrounding countryside and south to the Cheviot Hills across the tweed Valley. The course has a few gentle slopes with two or three short but steeper climbs and measures 5893 yards from the yellow tees. The main hazard is the burn that winds its way through the course and comes into play at several of the holes. The 15th, entitled "Double Trouble", is a par three of 116-yards played from a high tee onto the double tiered green below, with the burn front and back of the green.
