Athenry is situated mid way between Athenry and Oranmore at the townland of Palmerstown in the scenically beautiful Co. Galway. The flat tree-lined parkland course is a mixture of parkland and heathland built on a limestone base against the backdrop of a large forest, giving excellent drainage and remaining playable all year round.This pleasant test of golf on the outskirts of Galway City offers a challenge for golfers of all standards on a course, which is quiet mid-week.
