Founded in 1888, Kilkee resides in one of the most popular counties for golf in Ireland, Co. Clare. In recent years it has developed into an 18-hole course, successfully blending the old course with the new layout. The land is pure, rugged links and much admired by famous names in golf, including Greg Norman, who, incidentally, has just opened his course at Doonbeg just 20 minutes away. The views in Kilkee, however, are breathtaking. The first and second tees look out onto the expanse of the Atlantic Ocean and the third tee overlooks Chimney Bay, with a spectacular clifftop view.
