Highfield golf course is a beautiful and relatively new 18-hole parkland course. Taking the new motorway bypassing Maynooth and Kilcock (M4), golfers are walking down the first fairway within one hour of the outskirts of Dublin city centre, hence it is now one of the most popular retreats in the region. It is a flat parkland course but with various undulations and interesting hazards, namely especially the fast flowing stream which runs through many holes. The course makes good use of natural hazards, with mature trees being maintained and new plantations having put in place recently. Visitors are welcome at all times but advised to book prior arrangement.
