Opened in 1927 for the first time, Riddledon Golf Club has gone on to become one of the most popular, most respected and indeed most envied in Yorkshire because of the fine course it possesses. Although the discerning golfer may be slightly put off by the very small length of the course - for eighteen holes it measures only 4295 yards - they would be foolish to disregard it as it is a fine round of golf indeed. The reason for the short length is due in no small part to the ten par-3s that the course has, but size, it seems, isn't everything. There are lots of hazards to overcome on this undulating moorland course as well as lost of hard-walking and some marvellous views.
