Meltham Golf Club will be 100 years old in 1908 and in the time since it first opened its doors to the public, it has become one of the most respected courses in the region. It is located near Pontefract just south of the lively town of Huddersfield, and offers fabulous, almost unequalled panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Don't be too distracted though by the many aesthetic delights the course gives to you, as stray shots do not unpunished here too frequently, as the par of 71 for 6379 yards suggests. The par-5 13th is the feature hole of the course, measuring 548 yards - big hitters will absolutely love it, everyone else will need to know their long irons pretty well.
