Whitley Bay golf club possesses a truly excellent course, designed to excite, challenge and test golfers of all abilities. Set upon undulating downland and close to the sea, it offers fine views of the coast and is particularly difficult to negotiate from the tees. Good choice of clubs and accuracy are absolutely essential in order to score well, especially considering the strong prevailing sea winds which blow in over the course affecting many holes. Water also features on several holes to test your short game to the limit. Measuring 6600 yards from tee to pin, it is not short by any means, and scoring a par 71 round is very respectable indeed, especially on windier days.
