Designed by JF Abercrombie - the man behind Worplesdon, Coombe Hill and Addington - and Harry Colt, the famous golf course designer, Mill Hill is a course that has a non-nonsense reputation in the Middlesex area. The club, founded in 1927, is beautifully set in 145 acres of mature woodland over the Mote Mount Estate on the border of Hertfordshire and North London. There is a good mix of long and short holes, meaning a varied and testing round of golf and there are a few blind shots from the tee to be overcome. Although Mill Hill is situated quite close to the A1, you do feel as though you are playing in the middle of the countryside at times. A beautiful course, lots of fun and well worth the green fee.
