C Sinclair was the golf course architect who lent his skills to the design of the fabulous course at Cosby Golf Club away back in the early 1890s. And based upon his designs, it first opened in 1895 making it one of the oldest golf courses in the whole Leicestershire region. It has built up for itself a formidable reputation and is well respected by golfers for the sound test of ability it offers. Indeed, there is enough here to challenge and excite the best players without intimidating those newer to the game. It sprawls over eighteen parkland holes and measures a considerable 6410 yards for which it offers a generous standard scratch of 71.
