The beautiful Washington golf club in the Tyne and Wear countryside offers splendid, panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, as well as stern test for golfers of all abilities. It is challenging enough to pose problems for even the most experienced golfer without intimidating beginners, a fine dividing line which it balances upon perfectly. There are many challenges to overcome on this nine-hole, par three course. The strategically placed bunkers, for a start, are particularly concerning from your position on the tee. Similarly there are some water hazards to avoid and the fairways are tree-lined so wayward shots will be very lucky to go unpunished here.
