The excellently maintained meadowland, municipal course at Poulton-le-Fylde Golf Club is not exactly the longest in Lancashire, spanning little over 6000 yards in total, but that doesn't mean it isn't challenging or worth your time playing. On the contrary, some of its eighteen holes are quite tricky and require good course management and risk assessment from you if you are to score in the region of a par 70. Those new to the game in particular will find few better places to practice if they are looking to cut their handicap, and it benefits further from a fabulous setting in a scenic valley just a mile or so outside of Poulton town centre.
