Biography
Lee Westwood joined the European PGA Tour in 1994, and won the first of his 20 Tour titles two years' later at the Volvo Scandinavian Masters.
In 2000, Westwood won the Order of Merit after claiming five victories in a remarkable season.
Nine years' later, Westwood repeated the feat by winning the inaugural Race to Dubai - coming from behind to pip Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy with victory at the season-ending Dubai World Championship.
The popular Worksop golfer remains without an elusive major title, however. Two T3s in 2009 were followed by a runners-up finish in the 2010 Masters, where he led going into the final round but lost out to Phil Mickelson.
Westwood has represented Europe in the last six Ryder Cup matches against the United States.
