Howard Dudley Hart (born August 4, 1968) is an American professional golfer who currently plays on the PGA Tour.Hart was born in Rochester, New York. He attended Archbishop Curley-Notre Dame High School in Miami, Florida and went on to attend the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. He turned pro in 1990.Hart has won two tournaments on the PGA Tour thus far. His first win came in 1996 at the Bell Canadian Open. His second win was at the 2000 Honda Classic. Hart also finished in a three-way tie for first in the 2004 EDS Byron Nelson Championship, which he and Robert Damron lost in a playoff to Sergio GarcĂ­a.Although Hart hasn't won many tournaments, he is one of the most consistent players on the Tour. He has more than four dozen top-10 finishes including many 2nd and 3rd place finishes. His best finish in a major was T-6 at the 1993 PGA Championship. He was injured in 2003 and had to limit his play to 22 starts due to a herniated disc in his back. He has featured in the top 50 of the Official World Golf Rankings.Hart purchased Lake Shore Golf Club in Rochester, New York with his father and Jeff Sluman. Hart is the father of triplets: Ryan, Rachel and Abigail were born on December 6, 2001. He enjoys fishing and reading, and is a huge hockey fan. His favorite teams are the Florida Panthers and the Buffalo Sabres. He currently lives in Clarence, New York.
