Japan's Ryo Ishikawa, returning to the site of his best US PGA Tour finish, and Zimbabwe's Brendon de Jonge are among those seeking success at the PGA Puerto Rico Open.
While the world's 50 top players are among the stars competing in this week's World Golf Championships Cadillac Championship at Doral, lesser lights of the circuit seek a victory in this $3 million tournament at Trump International.
Ishikawa finished second to George McNeill at the 2012 Puerto Rico Open on the one-year anniversary of the 2011 Japan earthquake, achieving his best US PGA result, one he matched last year at the Shriners Hospitals Open.
De Jonge is the top-ranked player in the field at 87th in the world. His best US PGA showing came last year when he lost a playoff at the McGladrey Classic.
American Chesson Hadley is the defending champion, winning last year with a birdie-birdie finish to set the 72-hole tournament scoring record at 21-under par 267.
Among the past major champions in the field are South Africa's Trevor Immelman and Americans John Daly, David Toms and David Duval.
