Denise Lewis joins golf charity

11 Feb 2010 - 15:48:01

Former Olympic champion Denise Lewis and ex-Ryder Cup player Ken Brown are becoming ambassadors for the Golf Foundation charity.

They will promote the Golf Roots project, introducing thousands of youngsters from all backgrounds and abilities to golf.

"Since retiring from athletics I have been bitten by the golf bug," said Lewis. "It's a fantastic sport which requires lots of discipline and practice, and Golf Roots is a great way to bring these skills to young people. And, who knows, it might also help to find a star of the future."
