Two of golf greatest and most respected golf course architects have made their own distinctive mark on Pwllheli since its inception in 1900. Old Tom Morris originally set out the course, which was at first a nine-hole venture. Around ten years later the great James Braid extended it to 18 holes, so both nines enjoy a wonderful character and have been left largely untouched to this day.Morris' nine are parkland in nature while Braid's offering is distinctly links, while both incorporate wonderful views of Snowdonia and over to Cardigan Bay to the Cambrian mountain range.
