Guthrie Castle is set deep in the heart of the Angus countryside and is laid out on heathland with mature trees dotted all around. Although it only has nine holes, the Laird's Course will give a thorough test of every aspect of your game, whether that is your accuracy from the tee, club selection, iron play or how you fare on the green. Your short game in particular will be given a thorough examination as it has very small greens guarded either by rough or trees so anything other than a sure approach will be punished. The setting could hardly be more magical with the clubhouse and hotel extremely palatial and a mouth-watering proposition no matter what your pockets or persuasions may be.
