Like so many courses in the west of Ireland, Boyle, in County Roscommon, was designed by Eddie Hackett. It was founded in 1911 and is a parkland course which is set on a low hill. The fairways are generous but that's not to say that you will find this nine-holer as a pushover. Far from it, in fact. Like so many courses in this part of the world, a visit here represents excellent value for money, for which you can enjoy the sort of facilities attached to golf clubs with much greater reputations. For example, there's an excellent bar and restaurant and you'll definitely want to pop in there either before or after your round. The club also has exellent practice facilities, so there's no reason why you shouldn't be properly prepared when you stand up on the first tee.
