Located northwest of Westport, Achill is the largest island off the coast of Ireland. Connected to the mainland by a bridge, the beautiful landscape of Achill remains largely unspoilt. It also home to a nine-hole golf course in a setting that is quite simply stunning. "Majestic" and "beautiful" are just two of the adjectives which frequently flow from the mouths of visitors to the Achill Island links and it is easy to see why. The course measures 2942 yards and, just to make things a little more interesting on the second circuit, there's a different set of tees. A round here is inexpensive, to say the least, and both clubs and buggies can be hired.
