Skelmorlie is a short but testing, hilly moorland course that is not to be underestimated. Nestling in the hills of Renfrewshire, this course is noted for its beautiful views of the Firth of Clyde and the surrounding region. Legendary architect James Braid redesigned the original layout, which opened in 1891, and in 1999 the club lost its title of the "Oldest 13 hole Golf Course in the World" thanks to the addition of five new holes. Although short at 5, 030 yards, Skelmorlie has some tough short holes and a number of hard-hitting par fours that will test your nerve and patience to the limit.
