Rush is a small agricultural town on the outskirts of Dublin. It is situated on a peninsula with north and south facing beaches and a harbour. In terms of providing a setting for a golf course, it doesn't get much better. Rush is a typical links course with the seaside bordering three fairways. There are plenty of bunkers to negotiate and the undulating, tight fairways only add to the overall challenge. The toughest holes are the par three which are made somewhat more difficult when the howling wind comes in off the sea. Aside from the traditional links challenge, Rush is also known for its superb greens, which are rumoured to be among the finest in the area.
