Opened to the public for the first time in 1894, Wortley Golf Club is one of the oldest in Yorkshire and this year celebrates its 110th birthday. It is fabulous to see that it is still growing strong and is as popular now as it was back when it first invited golfers to take to its tees. It is laid out on severely rolling, part-wooded parkland so it can be heavy on the legs at times. It is, however, well sheltered, and therefore you don't have to worry about heavy winds turning your fantastic tee shots into something a little less brilliant altogether! A par 69, eighteen-hole course, it measures 6028 yards in total and is a fair test for any golfer.
