Situated not too far from the homely little town of Bexhill-on-Sea, Cooden Beach Golf Club was described by James Braid when it first open back in 1912 as a "good sporting course" and, seeing as the former Open champion designed such famous courses including the King's and Queen's courses at Gleneagles, there aren't too many golfers in the local area who disagree with him, even to this day. The dykes, ponds and bunkers will catch the wayward shot but the real hazard to look out for at Cooden Beach is the wind. If you catch the wind on a bad day round here you'll feel like you're playing a completely different course if you've already played it before. Fantastic in every way and well worth the green fee.
