Originally part of the Lord Lovelace Estate, the Drift Golf Club nestles at the foot of the North Surrey Hills just 20 miles from the centre of London. Created in the mid-1970s by Sir Henry Cotton and architect Robert Sandow, it is a tight, tree-lined course. The are only 13 bunkers but the real challenge here comes in the natural shape of the land and a few very large and well positioned mounds along the fairways. There is water around the course but it need never really come into play. The 18th is a superb finishing hole - 538-yard par five feauting a rare generous fairway. You need to be left for a good second shot, however, as the fairway is not as wide as it seems.

How to Get there

From Junction 10 on M25 head south on A3 towards Guildford .Take slip road off A3 signed Ockham (B2039). Take first exit off roundabout signed East Horsley. After approx. 2 miles you will see a sign for The Drift Golf Club on left.
