Established in 1913, the Stocksfield golf club offers a course neatly tucked away in natural woodland with marvelous views of the Tyne Valley. This idyllic setting - only 30 minutes drive from Newcastle - makes the perfect setting for this golf course, a challenging, eighteen-hole, par 70 beauty. It combines tricky par 3s and tough par 4s to create a truly testing round. The front nine holes are set in woodland with fairways carved through oak, ash, birch and beech, and there is an interesting mix of holes with doglegs in both directions, dissected in many places by several interesting streams.
