Holme Hall was formed in 1908 on natural heath land with an abundance of gorse, broom and heather. It stretches to 6,404 yards with a par of 71 and is a regular venue of the Lincolnshire Amateur and Open Championship. Its most famous honorary member is Tony Jacklin, the former Ryder Cup player who played much of his junior golf on the course. The club still proudly exhibits both his and Tom Weiskopf's scorecards when they both scored 63 in 1971. Not long ago a new course irrigation system was introduced incorporating greens, tees and fairways. A large lake holding three million gallons of water was also built on the side of the 17th fairway. The c is now a well established habitat for numerous species of wildlife.
