Located in South Shields, Whitburn golf club is a delightfully challenging parkland course that features many natural hazards to add to the challenge it poses. The fairways are gently undulating so good work from the tee is absolutely essential if a good score is to be achieved. Accurate shooting and a good knowledge of your clubs will stand you in good stead to score well. Many of the par 3s are trickier than they at first appear and the greens on most holes are extremely well protected by a wealth of strategically placed bunkers, ready to snare any stray shot. A fine and enjoyable course which will appeal to experienced golfers without intimidating beginners.
