Anyone even remotely familiar with golf will have heard of the fabulous Championship course at Royal Liverpool Hoylake.

A famous Open venue, Amateur Championships venue and a whole host of others besides, it is a world renowned famous links course, known for the strong winds that sweep across it providing a stern challenge and an extra dimension of difficulty for golfers to contend with.

It measures 6258 yards over eighteen holes for which a par of 72 is offered. As you would expect from a Championship course such as this, the clubhouse is magnificent, although to get to experience it all you will need to book in advance and have a few pounds to spare.
