Brookfield Golf Club is Cheshire's newest golf club. Located in Hankelow, near Audlem, the club already boasts a thriving membership, who are delighted to have a new course in the area. Club owner, Alan Reade, said: "The area was crying out for a new club as a result of all the newly-built homes on land to the south of Nantwich." The 6,128-yard course opened in June 2002 - the clubhouse then opened in October. The course is maturing quickly and the USGA standard tees and greens defy their tender age. Club professional, Rob Ashbrook, believes the course will challenge the very best golfers. "We have some great holes such as the short sixth and the par five eighth, which at 590 yards is one of the longest in Cheshire."
