Greg Chalmers holds the lead at the Barracuda Championship in Reno after two rounds.

The Australian picked up 10 points to raise his overall score to 24, two more than America's Gary Woo dland and Scotland's Martin Laird.

Laird led the event after the first day but slipped off the pace after a round of five birdies and three bogeys.

America's Colt Knost was a point further back at Montreux Golf and Country Club, with Brendan Steele on 20 points.

High points totals rather than low scores count in this event , which offers the added incentive of a place in the Open Championship for the first time.

The £2.3million tournament - formerly known as the Reno-Tahoe Open - is the only one on the PGA Tour to use a Modified Stableford format, which allocates points based on the number of strokes taken at each hole.
