The Dustbin Lid Man - Kings of Leon have set this golf lark on fire

Woah stop the press. Hold the front page. Double-click the FaceTweet. Golf has become cool.
Rock gods Kings of Leon have come clean with their new found golf obsession. As one of The Sun's ever reliable "sources close to band" put it, they "can't get enough" and have delayed recording their new album just to play more golf.
Next we'll find out that Bono has converted to Golfism as well and has decided to screw poverty in Africa and build a load of golf courses on the starving African children's withered corn fields.
Bet they'd find plenty of cash for wells, and without the need for Lenny Henry crying or any distended stomachs on TV.
With the Kings of Leon behind golf, it looks like young rock fans all over the country are going to be taking up our beloved sport and ruining the greens with their inappropriate footwear. And drugs probably.
I was given a computer game for Christmas that features a realistic golf swinging element, basically you hold the remote and swing it around the room like you're actually playing the game.
I better not mention the brand but it's Japanese and not Sony. It's rather good fun and I'm better in the gaming world than real life.
Despite mysterious winds whipping up from nowhere, most shots are relatively simple, even if you do look a little retarded swinging without a club.
One annoying thing is that my other half is better than me at it, which being the competitive husband that I am is intensely annoying.
Technological advances are amazing sometimes. I read an interview with an executive from another games console heavyweight (Bill Gates's one) that a new games system could teach you how to play golf in your living room.
Wow, just imagine that. You'd be free of all that horrible fresh air and exercise, real equipment and actual beer afterwards. What a world that would be.
Of course I'm being facetious, but rock stars and 3D virtual gaming. Sounds like a wild party that might have some groupies, but is it golf?
