Breaking America with Rachel Connor - Back home again

Golf.co.uk's star blogger, Rachel Connor, has left the sunny climbs of Florida behind to spend Christmas working on her game at the Golf Performance Centre in Manchester.
Hi Golf.co.uk readers,
A mixture of emotions were flying around my head as I left the David Leadbetter IMG Academy in Bradenton this week.
Firstly, I had to say goodbye to some very good friends who I have been working with at the Academy for the last few months who won't be returning in the new year. Secondly I was excited about starting my journey home for Christmas.
The first leg of my journey has taken me to the David Leadbetter Academy at Championsgate in Orlando where I have been practising for the last few days.
The facilities at Championsgate are world-class, as you would expect from a David Leadbetter Academy.
Championsgate is enjoyed all year round by Amateurs and Professionalsfrom around the world and it boasts not only amazing practice facilities but also a championship golf course and fine hotel.
On my first visit to the Academy, I had a chat with David about my future plans. We discussed the UK weather and possibility of course closure and agreed that the best option for me during my Christmas break would be to do lots of indoor work.
So I will be spending the next few weeks working on my fitness and developing my swing in the Golf Performance Centre.
My father, Brian Connor is the professional at Manchester Golf Club and we have a superb indoor swing analysis room which uses V1 technology (the same technology used at the Leadbetter IMG Academies) so I will be able to maintain my swing despite the weather!
Last week I received an email from the Duramed Futures Tour asking me to represent them on the LPGA stand at the 57th PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando at the end of January.
This is the biggest trade show in the world and it will be a huge honour to represent the Futures Tour there, I will be working with an LPGA player, a Duramed veteran and I will be the Rookie. EXCITING!
The final leg of my journey home will be in just one day. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone back at home.
Until next time, Rachel
