Chile's Felipe Aguilar held a slender advantage as the Volvo China Open headed for an exciting climax, and possibly a second successive home winner, on Sunday.

Aguilar shared the overnight lead with Denmark's Lucas Bjerregaard and produced a flawless front nine of 32 at Topwing Golf and Country Club to improve to 20 under par.

Birdies on the first, third, fifth and seventh briefly took the 41-year-old into a three-shot lead, but China's Li Hao-tong was not about to throw in the towel and after also covering the front nine in 32, the 20-year-old holed from 20 feet on the 10th to close to within a single shot.

England's Richard Bland, who is seeking his first European Tour title in almost 400 events, was a shot further back after racing to the turn in 31 and also picking up a shot on the 10th, with Bjerregaard another stroke adrift after just one birdie and eight pars to the turn.
