American Billy Hurley has withdrawn from the Open and has been replaced by compatriot Jim Herman in the field for the year's third major championship at Troon next month.
Hurley qualified by winning his first PGA Tour title in the Quicken Loans National on Sunday, but immediately admitted he was more likely to attend his sister's wedding on the Saturday of Open week.
Australia's Marcus Fraser is now first reserve with former world number one Luke Donald second and American Daniel Summerhays third in line.
