Gilnahirk is a public moorland course that was founded in 1983. It is ideal for those just looking for a hassle free, value-for-money round wherever they want. It can be hilly at times but is still a relatively easy stretch of the legs. It is an 18-hole course with wonderful views as it makes its way through the countryside. The course is located on the Upper Braniel Road in the Castlereagh Hills and is easily accessible from most parts of Greater Belfast, Down and Antrim. The course was just recently extended to 18 holes and a new clubhouse was also constructed, so visitors will enjoy the new surroundings in every way.
