Dewsbury District golf club, situated two miles west of the village is a demanding, yet ultimately rewarding, eighteen hole course in the heart of Yorkshire. Over 6360 yards of undulating moorland and parkland, you will be treated to some truly spectacular panoramic, scenic views of the surrounding countryside, as well as a fine round of golf. The par of 71 is quite generous, and ultimately achievable if you maintain your concentration, composure and poise in the midst of some challenging holes. Choose your clubs carefully and try not to be put off by the various troublesome hazards and you could score quite well. There are fine practice facilities also if you feel certain aspects of your game could do with being fine-tuned.
