Gatton Manor was originally the Dowager House of the Abinger Estate and today retains much of the character of the 18th Century. The beauty spot of Leith Hill provides a scenic backdrop for the old Manor House which was built in 1728. The 200 acre estate is a blend of parklands and woods interspersed with many rivers and streams. The course was completed in 1969 and offers much stimulation to the discerning golfer. No two holes are alike - each one requires the player to consider the hazards such as lakes, streams and tree-lined fairways. Visitors are welcome by prior arrangement and it is advisable you bring a handicap certificate with you just in case.
