With its vast number of trees, a predominant feature on every hole, it has been commented that Cranleigh Golf and Leisure Centre boasts a course reminiscent of the prestigious Sunningdale. Certainly the similarities are there, not least in the presence of dominant, magnificent oak trees that are an imposing sight for any golfer preparing to play towards them. Cranleigh also has a significant number of water hazards, complimenting its tree-lined fairways, and, along with the strategically placed bunkers, they provide an added dimension of difficulty to the course. For those who feel the need to fine-tune and hone certain aspects of their game, there is a splendid covered driving range and a considerable practice area.
