Filling 225 acres of luxurious Devonshire countryside, Dartmouth golf club offers two fantastic courses, designed to match the strengths of beginner and improver alike. The eighteen hole Championship course, measuring a mammoth 7200 yards is a true test of ability, and is probably best suited to low handicappers. A combination of strategically placed tees, streams that naturally dissect the fairways in many places, twelve man-made water features and undulating greens make this the ultimate golfing challenge in the UK. By contrast, the nine hole Dartmouth course offers similar challenges but without the tension. It measures a more relaxing 5200 and has a reasonably generous par of 66. This is an ideal course for beginners to improve their game, before trying their luck off medal tees.
