Goswick is one of the leading Links Courses in North of England. Designed by James Braid and later modified by Frank Pennick, it contains many classic,traditional links features. Recently extended it can stretch to 6800 yards, or visitors can enjoy the course at 6400-6600 yards.Reasonably flat, but a demanding test of golf, Goswick is presently under consideration as an Open Championship Qualifying Course. At a Seniors Match in April 2005, between top amateurs from Scotland and North of England, Goswick received unanimous praise for excellent condition and a most challenging links course. The Clubhouse welcome and standard of catering also was heavily praised.
