The Birstall Golf Club in Leicester is one of the oldest in the region, having celebrated its centenary year in 2001. Indeed, in the time since it was opened in 1901, many changes, developments and improvements have taken place to ensure that its course stays at the forefront of the latest changes in the world of golf. Consequently, it provides a stern and sound test of golf no matter how good a player you are. It sprawls over 6222 yards of parkland from the tee on the first hole to the pin on the eighteenth. There are plenty of hazards to challenge you too, so be alert at all times to come away with a scorecard worthy of showing off back in the clubhouse.
