Set in magnificent, splendid surroundings, the two Championship golf courses at Brocket Hall country house are amongst the most envied in the United Kingdom. A wonderful setting, excellent design - the Melbourne course being the work of the legendary Paeter Alliss and Clive Clark - and a proud reputation have made other golf courses in the country as green as the luscious, meticulously tended-to grass at Brocket Hall. Both courses are designed to Championship standards, the Melbourne one perhaps being the more famous of the two. The River Lea intersects it at many intervals, increasing the challenge of playing there, and you can enjoy the truly unique experience of a ferry ride across Broadwater to complete the eighteenth hole.
