Bill Davis is responsible for the design of the course here at Upton-by-Chester Golf Club and all who have played it have commented on the fine job they did too, making full use of the existing natural landscape and sculpting it to its maximum potential to create an excellent course. It is a fair test of golf for players of all standards, so even if your handicap veers a little to the high side, there's no reason why you can't enjoy a pleasant round here. At 5850 yards from the tee on the first hole to the pin on the eighteenth, it is a good distance, but you will be too preoccupied chasing those birdies to notice the length in any case.
